Is this a hold? (1 Viewer)

One of many not called today.

I love how teams are never called for holding when they play us.

On a Ray Rice screen pass there was an absolutely blatant missed block in the back that #92 Remi Ayodele was a victim of. He would have made the tackle, but instead it cost us about 30 yards.

They were holding a lot today, coupled with terrible tackling from us.

Ray Rice also committed an offensive face mask on one of his long runs that wasn't called.

My wife saw that too and asked why that wasn't a penalty and why a flag didn't come out. I told her because they were playing the Saints.

Yea.. Their offense was doing a better job at wrapping guys up than we were doing on defense.

If by hold you mean "Hand(s) or arm(s) that encircle a defender—i.e., hook an opponent to prevent them from making a tackle", then I would say yes.

But then again I'm not Walt Anderson. Actually I don't even know where the line of scrimmage is anymore.

This was a terrible officiated game. SEVERAL holds that weren't called on Baltimore. Wonder why Rice had so many yards? Look no further. Yes.. they didn't tackle well, but there were some holds that would have negated some of those runs.

Then the two personal fouls on us.. that .. you know... weren't fouls.

Lame.

Atlanta won so in the end it really wouldn't make a difference...Lets just hope everyone can get healthy and GW can fix our Run Defense...(I sure wish we would have made a trade for a FA NT to add to our rotation).

Well the Will Smith one we never saw, so it's hard to say it wasn't correct. I went back and rewatched, but the flag was thrown off camera.

The Sharper hit was close. I think if the exact hit happens 10 times, it's called about 2 or 3.

I don't think the Sharper penalty was bad. It was the late hit OOB on the long Rice run that was the other bad PF, IMO

Oh yea, I deleted that one from my mind after my cussing rant. Apparently you can only use Jedi-Mind-Tricks to get a runner out of bounds.

But a pass that is 5 yards past the line of scrimmage is intentional grounding because it didn't reach the line of scrimmage?!? Really? Hey ref standing on the line of scrimmage, did you see that ball fly past you?

And then, the ref than ran over to break up an arguement and then the Raven's guy slaps the Saint defender upside the helmet. The ref saw it, because the ref went over to the Raven and told him something. Guess the flag was stuck in his pocket.

Refs calls didn't lose us the game today, but it was frustrating watching the incompetant refs. Actually, with Atlanta beating Seattle, this Saints/Ravens game had absolutely NO impact on our race to the division. (May have made things better with the wild card though....)

If that no-call holding bothered you, I'd suggest that you NEVER watch a Falcons game. Your head would explode.
