Saints Is this the best the Texans have (1 Viewer)

I’ve been pretty worried about this game, but it’s MNF in our house to open the season. We’re due for a win and what better way to do it than this way!

This. Don’t sleep on the Texans. Watson is no joke.

Exactly ... Ref: NCAA Championship game vs Alabama ... David vs Goliath ...

and don't forget the Texans have two pretty good receivers we have to contain (DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller).

When the real bullets start flying this game will be a four quarter battlefield, with the adrenaline of Monday Night Football's bright lights to boot. Players are gonna be pumped in prime time and both teams fighting to get off to a promising start. I see something like 30-27 Saints win in the closing minutes on the leg of Wil Lutz.

The Saints always seem to do really well in the bright lights of the National Stage. Nerves, if nothing else, could be a factor. I think this squad is solid and will be ready for the start of this season.

Usually, but not always.

Thinking of...was it opening week at Minnesota 2017 where they got thrashed?

Came around by week 3 but that was an opening night on national TV and it was ugly.

By 2009, it was inexcusable for any NFL team announcer to not know who Marques Colston was.

This was the video link. I got it from a 2009 preseason thread. But it does not appear to be working. I wonder if dude was embarrassed about it and had it deleted.

There were two teams in the AFC South I was most afraid of, and this was before the Luck retirement.......Houston and Tennessee, NOT Indy and Jacksonville. The recent history against those two teams are enough.

Also, who do we have week 2? If we try to use the strategy we used in 2017 to try to win both games, we could find ourselves in trouble. The Rams are on our minds and will be in that game. I am very concerned about an 0-2 start. Though I have us beating Seattle otherwise and Dallas.
