Basically, the way it shakes down is that we are currently 2 games up with 3 games left.
However, based on what I see in the standings, we cannot tie Minnesota because they will win the tie breaker based on the remaining schedule.

- If we win out, obviously we are good for the #1 seed
- (Unlikely, but you never know) If we lose 2 and the Vikes win out (or)
We lose 3 and the Vikes go 2-1 (basically either ends up in a tie) then
the Vikes will win by virtue of a tie breaker
- This is because we both have only conference games left and one
of their loses have come from the AFC; Meaning, if we end up with
the same amount of losses, they will have one less conference loss;
Also, we would have a worse divisional record as they have not lost
in division and have no more division games left (we have 2 left)

BASICALLY, THE MAGIC NUMBER IS 2. WE CAN'T (AND PROBABLY WON'T) TIE. HOME FIELD THROUGHOUT CAN BE CLINCHED THIS WEEK WITH A WIN AND MINNY LOSS.
BUT NO MATTER WHAT MINNY DOES, IF WE WIN TWO THE ROAD TO THE SUPERBOWL GOES THROUGH THE DOME.

19-0 BABY!!! WHO DAT?!!!

We aren't losing to TB at home so you can consider that one win.

I say we beat the Cowboys next week in the dome and wrap things up.

Agreed. I personally think we win out and they have some losing teams, but I think they will be tough games for them (Chi, Car, NY).
Either way home field is ours for the taking and I think they drop at least one of those.

The Cowboys game is huge. We are playing on Saturday, so if we win the Vikings will know that they have to win out to have a chance at the #1 seed.

I see a win vs. the Cowboys, a win vs. the Bucs and with that we will be guaranteed the #1 seed. Will be interesting to see what happens in Carolina. Both teams will be playing for nothing, except the Saints will be going for 16-0 and the Panthers will be trying to prevent that. Could be a great game.

We need a Win Saturday and a Minnesota loss Sunday for homefield.
