iTunes music -- Need help please (1 Viewer)

I need to find a way to convert to convert about 40 or so protected itunes songs to mp3 or any other non-drm'ed format. This guy on my float (who has an iPod) bought a boat load of stuff for to play on our float on ride day (Hercules in Houma.) He is not that comp savvy so he did not think of protection complications. We use a sansa clip (Sandisk) to feed music to the mixer. I am in charge of the player and getting everyone's music on it. I went to his office (where the iTunes which he bought the music was on) and copied everything to my external hd, thinking that I could find a way to convert them to mp3, etc. Keep in mind that I am not familiar with iTunes music, but I thought I could do it. Well, I found some software that could convert it, but it won't let me because I'm on a different computer and it won't even let me access them. I am also aware that I can 'burn' them to a virtual, and then rip it from something else. I also can't do that because i'm not on the same comp.

Could someone please help me out?. I am confident that there are ways around this.

I suppose there might be some software out there, that might could simply remove the protection.. I'm just not aware of them .. on the mac, I've used a program called "Audio Hijack" it's a program that can record the output of what ever program I choose.. you coud use to record the output of iTunes.. and save it into what ever kind of audio file you want.

Yeah I think that's what I going to do. I just downloaded iTunes though so I'm going to try to get his password from him to save us trouble.

a very good one! 30 drunken idiots falling all over each other on a float for 6 hours. We bought a $60 for the float to handle that duty.

this is the best way to do it.

This is one of the few things about iPods that i don't like.
