If we convert some part of someones salary to bonus maybe you can get excited. Last I saw his ask was 17million.

I'm guessing no team offered close to $17M
So, he probably wants to at least play for a ring while trying to "prove it" for a deal next year

I would like a clowney signing for a couple of reasons.. one of the reasons we lost is when Davenport went down so did our pass rush and it was one of the reasons we lost in playoffs. Having clowney and Davenport will increase the odds that one or both of them would be healthy come playoff time. Also a lot of people get hung up on his sacks but he can wreak havoc in some many other ways.. the few games I watched he was a beast and his hit in philly ( whether you think it was dirty or not was) influenced that game as well

It's been essentially covered already in this thread, but this kind of scenario is probably the only way you could get proper value out of a Clowney deal.
