I wouldn’t be surprised if he has like 800 yards and 10 TDs or 300 yards and 3 TDs.

Too many unknowns at this point but you know he will give it 100%.

Tebow is one of those players that transcend sports. He's like Tiger and Jordan. People who never watch the NFL football have a good chance of knowing Tim Tebow. He is immediately the most renown Jaguars football player in franchise history.

Why not? Coach kicks the tires on a player he knows from college. Could possibly play the Joker roll in that offense.

Coach is still in his Honeymoon period with fans, so he has somewhat of a grace period.

Team is coming off one win season from Covid. Jags need to generate all the fan support they can get. Lawrence and Etienne certainly help, but Tebow is a legend in that area.

Tebow can sell jersey's in the area, attract attention to training camp and if he makes the cut, just extra gravy for ticket sales. Plus help with the locker room on Meyer's coaching philosophy , especially with this rookie class coming in.

They also don't have a " legit " TE after their starter Shaunesy. I don't imagine him being on the line to block the DE that much. He is a bigger receiver, just listed as TE.

It looks like a case of "nothing ventured - nothing gained" for both sides of the equation. Some positive (though unlikely) results/publicity if it works and very little to lose if it doesn't. Personally, I hope things work out for a franchise in need of some positive news and a player that I like a little.

33, but he hasn't played on a team (not counting practice squad since 2012. Last time he was on a team at all was 2015.

If Kap would like to take a minimum deal, I'm sure some team would offer it. Heck, if he were willing to take a non-minimum deal to be a backup, he'd be back in the league tomorrow. But he's not, so he won't be.
