Looks like he's back.

New Orleans re-signed guard Jahri Evans on Wednesday, according to a report by the NFL Network, nearly seven months to the day after releasing the Saints legend the day after the Super Bowl in a salary-cap move that saved the team $3.1 million at the time.

Don't see why not. He was in a training camp this year (Seattle) and knows the ins and outs of the system, minus whatever new we added in. A smart guy like Evans could pick up whatever new elements there are within a day or two.

I'd bet money Jahri starts game 1.

I really feel like his time as a starter is done but given our current options he's probably the best available to be a backup. Probably has a bit left in the tank and one cannot understate the importance of knowing the playbook. I also wonder how much gouge he has on the Seahawks for when we play them.

Bottom line, I expect we can get more marginal value out of him than Grayson so it's probably for the best right now.

kline might not even be the answer, but i've watched evans play the last 3 years. he's worse than lelito.

Not the best solution but better than nothing. Evans is superior to Lelito. I really don't see how people see otherwise.

PFF, if you follow those ratings, had Kline rated as the 37th ranked guard last year. Lelito was 27th and Evans was 28th. Just for the guys who like the ratings.
