With about 45 seconds to go in the game the announcer came on and said, "Jake Delhomme on the kneel" and suddenly a group of people in the next row started to cheer Goooo Jake! I gave them an angry stare and they stopped. They all had on Saints gear so they were obviously Saints fans but it really ****** me off to hear people start to chant **** like that in the dome. Whats your opinion on Jake fans?

I think Jake is overrated! And he is an enemy now. I like him as a person but when he plays the Saints I boo him! And will continue to boo him

They are what they are, Jake Fans. Nothing more, nothing less. You can count me in that number, but my Saints come first. I wish him the best on any Sunday that he's not against the Saints. Not ashamed of that, he's a home town guy with family close to my family.

My brother could be suited up for the "other team" and I would still be pulling for my Saints. That's just the way it is.

Yeah, I agree when he isn't playing the Saints I wish him well since he comes from Breaux Bridge which is very close to New Iberia. I just don't think we should be cheering for him against the Saints in the dome.

I think he is over rated and personnally don't cheer for him just cause he's from here. there's alot of players on other teams from La. in the league so why not cheer for them and their team???? To me Jake plays for our enemy and I WILL not pull for him.. unless he's playing for the SAINTS..
Here in Lafayette you see people wearing Carolina jerseys.. why not support you're home team? I guess if Jake goes to Dallas next year we'll see alot of Cowboy jerseys???

Uh...no. I'm a Louisiana guy who could care less about Delhomme. I wanted to like him but he is so whiney that it is completely impossible. He gesticulates like a little girl who had her dolly taken away when things aren't going his way. JUST PLAY THE GAME, JAKIE.


I hated Marino for much the same reason.

If we cheer Delhomme why didnt we cheer Faulk when he played for the rams. He is from New Orleans. I think it steems from him actually being a saint. If he wouldnt have played with the saints before I dont think he would be getting the praise.

I totally agree. I like to call it "Jake Fever". I work in a shop full of men who have Jake Fever and I can't stand it.

My position is, if Jake had waited one more year (maybe less), I think he would have been the starting QB for the Saints. It just didn't come soon enough for him.

He reminds me of a two year old when he's out on the field and things don't go his way - he stomps his feet and he pouts.

That has no place in the Dome, Especially if they wearing Saints gear. Last time I checked Jake was a Panther.
