You guys are really selling this. What do we have one graduate? How may have flunked out? Not to downplay what Payton and Drew have accomplished but I would pump the breaks just a bit.

We haven’t had this kind of talent at the backup spot until Teddy and Jameis. It’s always been a vet at the end of his career, a career backup, a UDFA, or a late round pick.

Good for Jameis! I hope that the Saint's work-hard/play-hard system is a better fit for him. I'd love to see him re-invent himself and start for us after Drew retires. Trusting the organization, we could avoid a lot of question marks as regards to an all-in draft pick.

You really gonna compare the talent of a Winston to others? Let’s see what Payton has done with qbs.
Identified Romo and with the cowgirl hate aside he made him his man which he did pretty damn well in Dallas.

Kerry Collins- Payton was OC in NY from 00-02. when he arrived he was pretty much written off as a bust and had his three best qb ratings of his career.

Brees- He did well in San Diego but he wasn’t anywhere close to showing he would blow the doors off records until he teamed up with Payton.

Bridge- finally given the chance to start again and he was showing more and more confidence every game until Drew.

So when stating this you may want to go backand look at Payton’s frame of work as a whole.
