IMO, I think we need Laurinaitis at #10 if he's available. Our defense needs an identity and he would be the face of our defense if he could come in and perform, which RC LBs usually do, more than CBs. Yes, Grant and Smith are beasts and Harper shows signs of potential, but our Saints used to be know for our LBs and we haven't that for a long time. I think getting back to our roots of having good LBs is something the fans will embrace.

Imagine all of the B&G Road Warrior style shoulder pads in the stands. I would get a jersey made as soon as he announced his number.

i also want Laurinaitis but i think so do 2 or 3 teams ahead of us... but who knows!!!!! hopefully we can make it happen!

Absolutely. You take him if he is there at 10. If not you take Phillips.

At least thats how it looks now. The combine could shake things up alot.

If he's there at 10, we HAVE to take him. That being said, if his workout numbers are as good as he plays, he'll be gone when we pick.

Honestly, I don't think any linebacker is gonna go in the top ten, I think we will get out pick of the linebacker we want, if we decide to take one, a lot of offensive players will go in the top 10, from Qb to OL.

Here is my draft board for our position at #10

1. Laurinaitis
2. Ellis
3. Phillips
4. Rivers
5. Jenkins

I'd love to have him. But I see the pats or the Bengals taking him before us. But if he comes to New Orleans and has highlights on ESPN, then I can hear Chris Berman saying...WHAT A RUSH!!

I can't imagine Laurinitus being better than Willis and he lasted until 11th.

So, how do y'all think he compares to Willis? I believe Willis will have a
faster 40 time and he played in the tougher conference while Laurinitusis a
bigger possibly stronger player but I'm not sure who grades out better.
