Cook is fine.

First of all, with Taysom in, the only offensive player really getting any shine from a receiving standpoint is Mike.

We can make this thread about Sanders, Cook, heck even AK in a way. This offense with Taysom is going to affect a lot of players. Calling out Cook seems silly.

Even when Brees was playing, if you were confused why Cook isn't putting up big numbers, that's on you. We're not an air it out offense anymore. And Cook is behind Mike, AK, Sanders, and Murray in the pecking order. He's not going to put up these fantasy numbers everyone seems to clamor for.

Cook's role is to now be productive when his number is called. Just like the Chargers and Bears game when he scored big TDs for us. The Bucs game is the one game where he failed in that role.

I posted this about Cook in an earlier thread about Troutman. I still think its correct, based on watching Cook in Denver too.

Yeah, thought the same. He looks like he couldn't care less about being on the field.

Maybe he has a lingering injury? Remember last year people were speculating about AK but none of us knew how badly he was injured. Only when he went on that podcast did he reveal the extent of it

It is odd. You'd think that a potentially dominant TE would be a perfect security blanket for a guy getting his first few starts at QB.
