One of the Eagles’ most experienced players is looking ahead to this rematch.
Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters wasn’t happy with how things finished the last time his team lined up against the New Orleans Saints, and vows that it will be different this time.
The last time this teams met, the Saints whacked the Eagles in a 41 point win that went into the record books as the biggest margin of victory against a reigning Super Bowl champion in NFL history.
Peters remembers that game very well, and he didn’t like it one bit.
“They ran up the score,” Peters said after the Eagles beat Chicago in the Wild Card Round, setting up the Saints rematch. “We wanted them again, we got them again. This time, we coming. It’s not going to be the same outcome.”
New Orleans built a large lead in the third quarter against the Eagles back in November, and then Drew Brees launched what became a 37 yard touchdown pass for Alvin Kamara that expanded the lead and clinched the Saints’ ninth straight victory. ...
