JD as a S (1 Viewer)

I was under the impression that Tampa II corners never rotate their hips. They either Jam at the line and release once the receiver clears them, or sit in a 5 yard zone and then release once the receiver clears them. This way they can always keep an eye on the QB/RB and drop into run support or intercept on hooks/inside slants.

A safety has to be able to cheat up to the line of scrimmage and stop the run. He's much too small and not that sure a tackler.

These positions are only interchangeable in pee-wee football up to the high school game. Those who keep posting threads like this one in which it is suggested a player might work better at a different position need to stop thinking things such as just because someone is fast, he can play another position that requires speed. There are many factors that go into being good at a position.
