I was flipping through the morning radio shows up here in NY and stopped when I heard one of the DJ's talking to their guest about who they thought would win this weekend's game.

Turns out Jerry Rice was the guest and he picked the Colts to win their game because he felt Peyton Manning was due.

And when he was asked who he chose for the Bears vs. Saints game, Jerry Rice said without hesitation, "New Orleans. I'm going to go with Sean Payton and his team"

Everyone was shocked that he picked us! One of the DJ's picked us to win as well. So, it was nice to see the Saints get some love up here and by Jerry Rice!

Must have been hard for Jerry Rice to pick us.

He's a Mississippi Boy. So you all know who RICE is going with. No Doubt!!

It's going down in shy town Sunday Baby. How bout this you guys. Introducing your NFC
Champions New Orleans Saints!!!

BOY???BOY??...who you callin BOY?......dang, come to think of it..with that avatar...go right ahead. *L*

lol...why, is he afraid of cute little monkeys wearing Santa hats??

I do need to change it though....

Nah, monkey phobia, he also doesn't like valentine avatar's do a search on old board, common family feud between St Dude and Dan in Lafayette mostly in jest

Rice also said on sirius NFL radio at the beginning of the season that we would not win 3 games this season.

That's funny because I seem to remember a thread at the beginning of the season that said Rice predicted no more than 3-4 wins max for the Saints. How wrong can these know-nothings be? I hope we can all learn from this and see how the games turn out before we make bold preseasons predictions.

Got to remember Jerry Rice is a Mississippian! He is probably a closet Saints fan.

Slow down

I would much prefer if everyone was picking the bears. When this team feels slighted or a little disrespected, they come out guns blazing. Dallas, Eagles, Giants. i love the pub but would prefer it totally one-sided for the bears

I personally don't think people should be held to their preseason predictions. The only thing you have as a predictor is the performance in preseason games and what each team is looking to get from preaseason games is all over the place. I watched every preseason Saints game and the team doesn't bear any resemblance to how they were playing then.

A simple example, can anybody admit to thinking that Jamaal Brown was set to go to the pro bowl after his preseason performances?

When we make it to the Super Bowl you will get your wish. Everyone will pick whoever
comes out of the AFC. Thats ok. This could work in our favor as you stated.
