Spin off of DSchexnaydre's blog entry about jerseys.
I own two Saints Jerseys.
#34: Ricky Williams
#7: Danny Weurffel
When the Saints came to Houston last season, I wore my Weurffel jersey to the game (Relegating my wife to the Ricky jersey *snicker*). I got LOTS of comments from fans in Houston ranging from laughing and high-fiving, to asking me why the hell I would buy a jersey like that, to overhearing one guy's kid ask who "Wuurful" is, and his dad replying "Some terrible QB the Saints had about 10 years ago, I didn't even know they MADE his jersey".
My question is this: Is it OK for me to wear my Weurffel Jersey in public, or should I make a concentrated effort to buy myself the Jersey of one of the current Saints players?
* Side note: I also own a knock-off Reggie Bush USC Jersey. Would THAT be acceptable attire for gameday??
(I figure with all the serious FA talk going on, this might be a fun change-of-pace discussion)
