This was started beacuse the people were not happy with some of the newer verisons of the bible that came out. When my wife completed her conformation the church gave her a list of the differnt bibles out. And they talked about it. Some of the newer versions updated terms to be non gender specific personhood istead of mankind, God instead of lord god. One bible was the green bible, where it went over what they thought was green. and some of the words were changed as well. From what I can take from this artical and others,the project was set up more for that.
