The New Orleans Saints will apparently have another opening on the coaching staff.
The New York Jets are planning to hire current Saints wide receiver coach John Morton as their new offensive coordinator, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Morton, who interviewed with the Jets earlier in the week, spent the past two seasons in his current position with the Saints and the wide receiver position flourished under his guidance in 2016.
Brandin Cooks and rookie Michael Thomas each topped the 1,000-yard receiving barrier, while Willie Snead totaled 895 yards receiving. The prolific trio combined for 242 catches and 21 touchdowns.
