Jim Mora on Saints QB Jameis Winston "He's too erratic" (1 Viewer)

Hebert was a good QB...during the regular season (Hebert and Andersen were the only 2 players that left the Saints for the Falcons...and then made us pay.) Fourcade was a result of the players strike. Wilson and Walsh were terrible miscalculations by someone.
Joe Horn left for the Falcons, but well after the Mora era.

Gosh you giving me stats that doesn't say much. For 3 quarter, and not all his fault, had been ineffective. 3 games in a role. And putting words in when I NEVER ever said we are done. And I never mention anything about Cooper or trading for someone. My original point is about not addressing the quarterback for the past 5 draft when the team knew Brees career was coming to an end. You putting players from other team that I don't care. Not my team, not something I care to address.

He gave you stats and context.

There was a lot more information in his single post than all your posts combined.

Crazy BSJ conspiracy Re: WRs lining up tight....this was kicked into overdrive in the aftermath of the Graham suit...Maybe CSP spite lined up WRs in the TE position more often than not so that he can franchise them at the TE rate vs WR rate.

I'll see myself out.

#7 comes to mind. We got stuck in kicking purgatory after he left, member Chip "Caint make a XP" Lohmiller?

I swear I remember one of those being a low, line-drive shot that cut across towards a corner of the endzone.

Maybe not that ugly, maybe I'm even imagining it, but that's the memory I have.

I liked Bobby too but to say he was a good QB is not correct. Some people want to criticze Winston for his 30TD/30INT his last year in TB but Bobby wasn't much better. His best TD/INT ratio was 15/9 in '87

His ATL years were just as bad

Maybe serviceable would be a better term. I just remember him being better than most of the ones before him.

This makes me so sad. For 14 years we lived through Sundays knowing Drew Brees is behind center and will have a chance. We didn't have many thread concerning our quarterback situation. Just looking at old games and seeing Brees just in complete control of everything, make me depressed even more. Now we are looking and making tons of thread of about the quarterback and Andy Dalton. Nothing against Andy. But a discussion about Andy needing to start. This is depressing.

At least our roster has two fewer Billy Joes than it did 23 years ago.

Well that's the way to look at it. But crazy to say, Billy Joe Hobert had some ok games. But that's funny having both Billy Joe on the roster.

Hobert had better accuracy than Hebert, and a stronger arm. Hebert was a Louisiana guy, so people ignored his need to loft the ball up to throw a (slow) deep ball, which led to picks in big games against good teams.

tl;dr: Ditka found a better QB in the bargain bin than the one Mora stuck with for years, losing all playoff games.

You guys want to agree or disagree with Bobby and Jim Mora. That's on you. But listen to your eyes. (Weird concept, I know).
I wish I could, but I don't think anybody (with possible exception of the team and coaching staff) has been able to get an actual, good look at Winston's performance.

Last year? He had zero people to throw to.

This year? Four freakin' fractured vertebrae that doubtlessly have a significant impact on accuracy, throwing decisions, etc.

I really want to see how Winston can perform without all of these excuses.
