Not him... Look i understand some of the small school QB's are doing ok Tavaris Jackson and Tony Romo.... but i would rather see us get someone like Matt flynn Colt Brennan or most likely Dennis dixon
 
Not in the draft. No late drafted rookie is going to be a capable backup any time soon, we have Palko for that.

A backup needs experience to be capable of stepping in when needed.

Palko is horrible. I am sorry, we are in trouble if Palko is our main backup. I almost would be willing to bet Payton drafts a QB this year.

Based on his rookie year preseason performance? I believe we should give him another year to fully state that he is "horrible".

I agree we're in trouble if he's our #2 QB, but I'm not yet ready to call him horrible.

Pitt's offensive playbook is nowhere near as complex as ours. Plus, he had very limited reps with the first team offense.
 
Only if our defensive needs are already taken care of in FA and in the first couple rounds of the draft. Then bring in a "project".

Thats what i'm preaching!! Palko can play, I know we all loved him in the preseason and now that were on our way to another offseason were forgetting about this guy....or like some of us, just want something new to root for, but Palko is a player.....guess we shoudnt look for anything for Pierre this year to, lets get a runningback.

Tom Brady couldn't beat out Brian Griese at Michigan.................

I thought Jason Fife outplayed Palko in pre-season. If Flacco is there in the 4th we'd jump all over him. Look at Antonio Pittman last year. Not a need, not a defensive player. Flacco likely won't make it to the 2nd day
 
I can't say a lot about Flacco...he didn't get enough playing time in the Sr. Bowl for me to make any sort of judgement (based on one game, since I didn't get to see him play all year). I was hoping to get a chance to see what he was about, but the coaches decided that Booty deserved most of the snaps, sooooo......:rant:
 
He looks very raw too me, with great physical stature. I would say 4th round or late 3rd seems like an ideal place to nab such a player. He probably wont make it that far though.
