John Edwards to announce in NOLA today that he's quitting race (1 Viewer)

what is this "staying in all the way" crap he was spouting off? What a politician.

Wonder how his supporters will be divided, and if he endorses Clinton or Obama will it affect the primaryies?

Good. Go home and take care of your wife, and see your children in a setting other than the campaign trail.

Co-sign. What an emotional grind he must be undergoing.

I received a mailing from a local Obama organization saying that a deal has been reached. Supposedly Edwards has been offered the attorney general position should Obama win the presidency. This isn't a new rumor, but I wonder if it has any meat. If not, I wonder what impact his wife's health will have on a possible vice presidential candidacy.

He was a bust as a VP, and this time he has ruled out a repeat VP position, as has Liebermann. No need to monopolize the office compared to a "bucket of warm ****".

AG? He'd leap at the chance. This is why in an Obama-Clinton match, Hillary might be the better one on policy. Of course, Hillary selected Bill's AG. After two aborted tries, we got the peerless Janet Reno. This might be a "tie"

It's going to be interesting to see the weekend polling and see where Edwards supporters go. Between the momentum of the SC win and Kennedy endorsements, the growing backlash against the Clinton's tactics and now this Obama may just have enough steam to come out of Tuesday close enough to Hillary to still make a race of this thing. The Republican contest will probably be over next week as McCain looks to be on his way to a big Super Tuesday. This would also help Obama as post Super Tuesday states with open primaries would probably see many Independents that would have gone for McCain going for him.

If Obama comes out of Super Tuesday only trailing by 150-200 delegates he'll have a really good shot and pulling the upset.

Goodbye to socialist rubbish. Edwards "The Red" can return to his real life calling, i.e., ambulance chaser. Hopefully "Billary" will be next.
