Johnny Depp Defamation trial against Amber Heard (1 Viewer)

Maybe dressing like a Ferreri salesman or a porn director. I dunno...

Dude is 58 and still thinks it's cool to dress like he's a 20y/o rock star..:hihi:
He dresses funny?
That’s your example of the sin of attention seeking? That he should be Jake from State Farm?

He was a big dude and she was a pretty average sized woman.
This is the reason I think justice really shoul be "blind".

Have the trial take place without the jury.

Then seperately have all the evidence presented to the jury.

Have testomony read back dispassionately. If there is video/pictures try when possible to have a court official describe it.

Eliminate, or at least mitigate physical appearance (stature/race/tatoos/etc) from skewing a jurys judgement. Also to reduce the element of having attourneys who are good at manipulating emotional responses.

Once a verdict has been reached then the defendant can recieve his verdict from a jury of their peers.

I tend to watch Sky News Live on Youtube. I play it on a smart TV while I'm working. For those not aware, Sky News is based in England. I've found it odd that Sky News will show a lot of the live courtroom testimony in this case. Neither Depp, nor Heard are from the UK so I'm at a loss on why there's so much interest in it from them.

It’s because Depp sued a UK tabloid for libel and that case was percolating in court in the UK and went to a 16 day trial where Depp lost based on the court’s findings that the incidents had occurred.

A British tabloid going on trial against an actor - the story was hot stuff in the UK a couple of years ago. So I suppose their audience is already keyed in on it more than Americans are.

I was actually in the larger jury pool the day jury selection took place for this trial. Thankfully I was sent to a different case where I was promptly dismissed.

I’m paying a little bit of attention to this trial because I’m curious how i would have decided if I did get selected. It’s such a messy case, I’m glad I’m not there

Blasphemy!

Wow this marriage is toxic. I don't really keep up with all this kinda stuff, but the little bits I heard about this trial makes me think they BOTH are seriously in need of some therapy.

Sometimes when marriages fail EVERYONE is at fault.

Johnny Depp got punished for being a victim of abuse, he lost many roles and gigs based on this case. Amber Heard got to keep her gigs. The two were toxic toward each other both need to get some help, no doubt about it. The fact only Depp got punished despite Amber Heard being on tape bragging about the abuse shows there is a very big problem in society. I think this case is only fascinating to people who have trouble with the idea that women can also be abusers and be just as violent as men can be in these domestic abuse scenarios.

To be fair who really cares about how he dresses. This is incredibly embarrassing for Depp I would assume.

I don't keep up with them either and was surprised to realize their severe dysfunction had been going on for damn near a decade.

This society LOVES to "both sides" any scenario where there's too much unwanted heat on the liable party.

But if there was ever a time to "both sides" a scenario, this appears to be it.
