Sucks for Vilma. Florida laws are geared towards finding reasons to pull people over.

For better or worse, here in Washington state they technically aren’t supposed to pull you over for expired tags unless they’re over 12 months expired. If f they pull you over for something else, they can write you up for the expired tags as well.

I get pulling people over for expired tags, although we all know that gets abused for reasons. But arresting someone for an expired tag and DL seems really extreme and dumb.

Same here. Not sure if they’d arrest you for expired license in WA, but would assume no.

Expired and suspended usually mean two different things. And expired usually doesn’t lead to arrest.

Bunch of squatters got in the place, basically. Good he had nothing to do with it.

It was a condo that he owned. Not a place he was currently residing.

The tags are a non-issue and the suspended license could be as well.

Could be something as simple as him changing car insurance companies and his old insurance company being salty and reporting his insurance policy lapsing and the DMV/OMV putting a block on his license. That happened to me before.

Didn’t cost anything, but had to go to the DMV with the paperwork for the old policy and new policy to show there was no lapse and got it resolved.

It's actually easy to forget to renew a DL and/or a license plate sticker. You can't just tap an app and it magically affixes itself to the plate. Gotta put forth an effort!

Uhhhh... Hold on a second. The LA Wallet app says hold my beer. It can do most of that (obviously it can't place the sticker). But these days, when they say there's an app for that, plenty of times it's true.

If there are no excuses for me, there are none for him.

A suspended license and an expired license are two different things.

Uhhhh... Hold on a second. The LA Wallet app says hold my beer. It can do most of that (obviously it can't place the sticker). But these days, when they say there's an app for that, plenty of times it's true.

Yep. I’ve been renewing my license and registration that way. But….its shocking how far ahead of other states Louisiana is when it comes to LA Wallet.

Yeah I get used to using it as ID here and you go to other states and some say it’s okay but most want a physical ID.
