The Arizona Cardinals will take on the New Orleans Saints on the road this Friday evening in their second preseason game of the year. Coach Steve Wilks explained that the starters would play more than they did against the Los Angeles Chargers in the opener. The starting offense was on the field for one drive and the starting defense for two possessions.
“The ones will increase their play,” Wilks told reporters Monday. But not everyone will get significantly more time. As he said last week, “there will be selected players that might not reach that max” for snaps in the game. Nonetheless, “(the starters) “are going to play a little longer this week.” Quarterback Sam Bradford, running back David Johnson and receiver Larry Fitzgerald will be those guys to not reach the max number of snaps Wilks has planned for the starters.
