JSU vs LSU game thread (1 Viewer)

My take:

1) Etling is not a savior, but can really improve the offense with his ability to complete passes.

2) Offensive line is hot garbage. SEC defenses will annihilate this unit if they do not improve dramatically.

3) Defense not as good as advertized. New scheme miscues are expected, but poor tackling and spotty play in the secondary are areas of concern.

4) Micah Dupre better get some sticky stuff for his gloves. He's gonna drop out of the first round if he can't hold onto the ball.

5) Special teams better, but far from a strength.

I would prefer to see him drop out of the starting 11 for the Tigers and be replaced with a WR who has more desire, concentration, and character.

So is it a safe bet to write off LF7 for Heisman?
Yes. Even if he is healthy from here on out (and we don't know how good his ankle is at this point), there is no way this offense can be productive enough for him to excel. But this question lead to a larger concern. Frankly, one of the things wrong with this Tigers team is that there is no sense of collective responsibility. All we hear about are individual player's goals. The fault lies with Miles, who has not created the right atmosphere and fails to discipline his players properly.

I think it speaks volumes as to how bad the QB position has been that 6-15 for 100 yards with 1 TD and 1 Int against and FCS team looks like drastic improvement.

But I agree. I think we know what Harris is. Etling is still a bit of an unknown, but he showed some flashes to think maybe there could be some improvement. Now, will Les stick with him?? Who knows. Two weeks until Auburn...
