June Jones resigns from Hawaii as their HC (1 Viewer)

This might be one of the most boneheaded coaching decisions EVER.

Can someone give me three reasons why he left Hawaii?

1) Two million dollars a year (as opposed to $800,000)

2) A school that wants him (Hawaii hadn't even talked about extending his contract, until SMU offered him a job.)

3) Better chance of moving up the BCS ladder with wins at SMU. (Meaning he went as far as he is going to go at Hawaii. Same reasons Tommy Bowden left Tulane after they went 12-0. No where else to go from there.)

Two million a year in Texas is not equal to living/working at a job you love in Hawaii. Though maybe his plan is to make the 2 mil a year for a while and then retire in Hawaii, oh wait, that's my plan(except I don't make 2 mil a year).

Loser. :hihi:

Seriously, though- making $2 million a year in Texas is like making $10 million a year in Hawaii in re. to cost of living. Really. So it's like he'll be making over 12 times as much as he's been making in Hawaii....... Not too shabby.
