Yes and no. It never hurts to put an emotional positive spin to your boss. I'm not saying it works with Loomis all that much, but I don't think it hurts.That certainly give Loomis some negotiating leverage.
But, it sure is nice to hear that from a guy and I'm sure Loomis will give him a fair deal. I guess he loves New Orleans and is thankful to the team for giving him a chance when few others would.
I'm sure it doesn't hurt much. Especially since he is an RFA and his options are limited. In fact, it might make Loomis more likely to sing him to a longer term deal.
