Kaden Ellis (1 Viewer)

This kid is a pass rusher... let him rush the passer. He can play on special teams but he looks like he has a motor that doesn't quit and he's relentless.

BTW his pops played NFL ball so its in his bloodlines.

He is interesting because there are some games where he will play a 4-3 DE and then others where he plays 4-3 WLB. Usually people switch from 4-3 DE to 3-4 LB on the LOS but they legit played him in two totally differnt positions. I think in the NFL he will be DL, but he has good versatility.

I just dont see him playing 4-3 OLB at the pro level.

And plays some TE too?

How insane would it be if Payton drew something up for him on both sides....

Man he can run.

Kaden Elliss (Son of former 10-yr Detroit Lions DT Luther Elliss) had an excellent pro day.

"MOSCOW, Idaho – The most impressive performance at Idaho’s Pro Day could not be quantified by a watch, tape measure or scale, but had to be seen.

In a drill in which he simulated coming off a double team and bursting through the adjoining gap, Kaden Elliss moved laterally with startling quickness and got his hands under an individual blocking sled. He raised it as easily as a hoist lifts a car. But instead of simply cutting off it, he flipped it – threw the sled aside as though it was a lawn chair. Twice. Former Vandals teammates and other spectators from the athletics department in the Kibbie Dome stands expressed their appreciation.

“That was pretty fun,” Elliss said.

On Wednesday, Elliss continued an extended job interview as a linebacker and edge rusher for about a dozen NFL scouts that began with him posting NFL combine-worthy numbers at the University of Utah’s pro day last week.

In Moscow, Elliss improved on several of those, adding 4 inches to his vertical leap, to 34 1/2 inches, and running a 40-yard dash between a hand-timed 4.58 and 4.6 seconds. On a lateral cone drill, his foot slipped the first time he planted it and kicked up a cloud of rubber pellets. Without that, Elliss said, he had hoped to complete the drill in less than 4 seconds". ...

Love the pick! He has elite 20 yard shuttle and 3 done drills. His 3 cone time ranks as the best among LBs in the draft. Kid can do a little bit of it all dropping in coverage and rushing the passer. Even plays TE at times. He is a LB not a pass rush specialist. Can be a very good SAM LB in the 4-3.

IMO we killed this draft. Only other position I would have liked to draft is WR. Still have the UDFA market to go get someone that can fill that role giving us a speedster. Emanuel Hall needs to be our first call.

I love it! He looks like a lion taking own gazelles, fast powerful and doesn't quit
