Edit 2: Not really highlights, sorry. It's his game footage from Week 12 or 13 against the Ravens. This is every play that he was involved in.

Hey guys. I saw there weren't any Highlights, so I threw some together from the Ravens/Steelers game from last season. Nothing fancy, just all the footage I could find of him in that one game. Sorry for the link, I used to be able to embed, but it's been so long I've forgotten.

Edit: Props to Guillermo for the embed.

Great video. I tried to upload a short video of Lewis yesterday and had the same embed problem, not long after youtube killed the upload. Hope you have better luck than I did.

Not very impressive in this video. I hope he works out though. BDM
I respecfully disagree. Just look at the second play of the video. On that one normally we end giving away a big gain. Lewis is locked to the receiver and makes the tackle.

I saw him also glued to Anquan Boldin on a short route, jumping on time to avoid the completion.

And more important, I saw him playing quiet well the long ball, being in perfect position to cover Jacoby Jones.

Every corner will get completions, I am glad he looks to avoid the long gain on him. Thanks for the video!

Those completions came when Pitt was in zone, and its going to happen. But his man to man skills look really good. And regardless, the guys physical and makes the tackle as soon as the WR makes the catch.

Exactly. Everytime he had a catch against him, the receiver did not get any YAC.

The PI penalty looked like good coverage to me. I cut it out of the video but Tomlin was pretty hot about it.

Keep in mind, that's how many times he was thrown at the entire game. And it's all from one game. It's not cherry picked clips from all of his good plays throughout an entire season.

From what I've seen watching his games he is very aggressive in coverage and very physical, he is willfully active in the run game as well, but his aggression doesn't diminish his tackling fundamentals because he is almost always sound.

When he lines up 10 yards off of the receiver he gives up the short pass like every other CB in the history of the NFL. I'm not sure why defensive coaches tell their CBs to play this way, even in zone.

I see a player that can't locate the ball and tackles like our Safeties. But I guess we have to trust our front office. Since so much of the bargin players they brought in work out.

Thanks for the video. Only from one game but quite encouraging. Lewis'es positioning to the ball was excellent as was his tackling. The holding penalty was questionable in my view. Looked like a solid football player. He will though be up against some pretty good QB's in the NFC South. That is something he is not used too.

Did we watch the same video? I saw a player that knows how to tackle well and has good instincts. Having the most pass deflections in the league last year suggest he is always around the ball and has no problem locating it. He will be a good signing.

Also, no need to diss our safeties they all tackle well except for Jenkins. You just assume they can't tackle well because the 7 players in front of them aren't doing their job very well. 100+ tackles for a safety is absurd. Even high 80s is a lot.
