So wait, we have like 4 maybe 5 good starting caliber defensive players and you want to let one go?

The reason you don't see Vacarro getting ints is because of our pass rush. Even the worst QBs in the NFL are to good to just throw the ball to him with a pass rush like ours. When we can get a rush on the QB I fully expect Vacarro to become more of a play maker. The kid does everything you want except racking up ints. Ed Reed would not get ints with our pass rush plain and simple.

As we continue to build up our defense this off season I think you will see his game go to another level. Our front 7 is 1 stud DE along with some development from Anthony to being a dominant group. Our secondary just being healthy is a very good group which we can add to in FA and through the draft. Our defense is very close to having more talent then it has ever had and getting rid of Vacarro is a move in the wrong direction. There are 25+ teams who would love to have a versatile SS like him and I'm glad we aren't 1 of them.
