What do you think are some keys to victory for the saints in this match-up?

Me i think a big key is to make Tampa Toms life miserable. Harass, pressure, make him run outside the pocket, not let him plant his feet during his throws and just make his day hellish and punishing.

Agreed. Even at the top of his game, Brady was beaten by NYG teams in the Super Bowl with mediocre secondaries. He didn't have much time to throw.

I think the key to victory is show them some stuff they haven’t seen the saints do before. In a season without much offseason, knowing your opponent will be difficult early on. The saints have been together for many years with pretty much the same players. So plenty of tape out there on us. The bucs have a bunch of experienced players, but they’ve never really all been in a game together, so the saints don’t have film of how they’ll be used. Our continuity will be our greatest strength but can also be our biggest weakness if not managed properly.

Play up to our potential and have a balanced attack on offense and we’ll be fine. This game, just like most of the week one games is probably gonna be sloppy.

Hopefully our defense starts the season strong.

Tampa finished the season with number 2 rushing defense or close to it... Brees could be busy on the first day on the job lol

Make them run the ball. Their offensive line, even with a few minor upgrades, still sucks. I believe Jordan, MD, and the rest of the front can hold their own against Fournette. Play coverage and the Bucs fall apart, just my useless opinion though.

Now go look at their passing defense stats. There's a reason nobody ran the ball on them, and it's a reason they still haven't really addressed.

I am somewhat worried at how this team will play absent the Dome field advantage that we have. Emotion is a big part of getting a team to play at a higher level and that tremendous crowd at Dome games always lifts the players to give that extra effort - or almost always! To that end, my key to victory is having the team find the necessary emotion and focus for 60 minutes, acknowledging that this could be a sloppy game on both sides due to the lack of pre season game preparation.
