I'm watching it right now. Has there ever been a better movie? I think not! Pure cinematic gold!
If you mean by enemy, the highly militaristic, "officer's clubs" societies-dominated, territorial-expansionist, ultra-nationalist pre-WWII Japanese government and its high-ranking politicized officer corps, then I suppose, Godzilla would be a frightening, terrifying weapon for the Japanese to teach arrogant, Western "devils" a lesson in proper modesty, humility, and adherence to morally and ethically superior Bushido warrior culture.Does Kong fight for America while Godzilla fights for our enemies?
She was the 4th Titan in this movie! In a fugitive sense. Great performance.
Fugititively speakingShe was the 4th Titan in this movie! In a fugitive sense. Great performance.
Edit. See my above edit. I edited my own post wrongly. Figurative not fugitive

I was actually buzzing through this thread to check on this as I haven’t seen the others. I don’t mind watching any other movies if it adds to the experience. Does it totally stand on its own, or would other movie(s) be recommended to watch first?I just watched it with open arms because it is sci-fi. I really enjoyed it. I should've re-watched Skull Island and Godzilla prior just for a re-hash, but I don't think it would've been necessary.
Whatever connective tissue that exists doesn't inform the main plot for this movie at all. I'd watch the others if you can before the new one but you don't need to at all.I was actually buzzing through this thread to check on this as I haven’t seen the others. The opening credits do a pretty good job of catching you up to speed if you pay attention to them. They cover all the highlights of the other 3 movies that matter to this movie.I was actually buzzing through this thread to check on this as I haven’t seen the others.
