The NBA draft is so hard to follow because of the way they report trades. It looked like they made three second round picks, but then I later read that they traded them all away, unofficially.

The best comp is De'Aaron Fox. He's lightening quick, a creative finisher. Can push the pace, get in the paint and distribute. He'll compete for time this year, but unless he surprises at practices, he may not get a ton of time this year.

We will indeed be trading at least one guard (George Hill), if not more.

Traded them all away for future picks. Like they've got extra picks stashed way out to 2027.

Love the pick. Also love stockpiling picks in later drafts. This was considered a weak draft so now we have a crapload of draft assets to use for veterans (next year is supposed to be a great year for the draft and FAs)

Word is that we are going after Steven Adams. Wish we would have gone after Christian Wood

Probably most importantly is that it is an expiring contract since next season will be a big year for FAs

Yeah, I think that in the short term he's a guy who will instantly improve our team rebounding and defense (we were horrible at both last year) and will also have a positive impact as far as the locker room and team culture the new staff will be looking to set. He should also serve as a good role model/mentor to Jackson Hayes and Zion.

I also like the combo of Adams as a screen-setter and Kira, who (as others have said) is super-fast and not scared to drive, but still has to put on some weight/muscle. Adams should help free him up a bit more.

The fact that Adams is a good passer for a center and Zion will hopefully continue to develop his own playmaking skills, could also present us with some nice options in the half court.

And worst case scenario, he becomes a valuable big $ expiring contract for next offseason (or deadline trade chip).
