know who to pull for: week 2 (1 Viewer)

But I'm not pulling for them. I just expect them to win. Believe me, I've lost more than enough money to know what I'm talking about :hihi:

No matter how much you say you hate the falcons, if you had a c-note on it, you'd be pulling, pleading, begging, praying when those final minutes are ticking away. :ezbill:

And that's why I'd never actually place money on them. I could never actively cheer for them unless it directly improved the Saints' playoff chances. And even then I'd need a bottle of rum, some heroin, and 17 showers to compensate.

I hope we never have to root for Dallas to win to help us with anything... I think I'd get physically ill if that happens.

I'll take Green Bay and the Lions.

I'll take the Giants and the Panthers.

I hope the Dallas punter doinks one off the big screen and has the do-over blocked for a game losing TD. Hopefully NFL Films will have its cameras pointed right at Jerry Jones as his oft lifted face explodes.

st dude, be sure to wear all kinds of Saints paraphernalia in Philly and at the game. Philly fans are kind of slow, so be sure to help them out during the game by standing up and informing them of important happenings on the field. Scream things like, "Touchdooooooowwwwwnnnnn, Sainnntttsss". This will really endear you to them. Heck, they might even share their beer with you. :D

This was actually pretty funny and I love the Cowboys. (You guys kill me with your Cowboy hatred. I know heresy!!)

Great post again St Dude. I, for one, appreciate it.

I think that the 49ers are starting to pull it together. They were only a couple of plays here and there from making a run in that division last year.

I think Tampa is going to have a DREADFUL year and Coach Raheem Davis is going to find the honeymoon over before it started and be on the hotseat by early to mid-October.

I'll take the Saints in a laugher over Philly and the sporting world is forced to sit up and take notice at this offensive juggernaut, despite all of the, "yeah but they didn't have McNabb" cries that are sure to come out.

I'll take Dallas and Atlanta. No way Dallas loses home opener to Giants. I think Giants are most overrated NFC team. They struggled at home vs. (Mod Edit, mv)Redskins. Carolina sucks

Giants/Panthers for me

Just because that's who I want to see win and it's the least confusing.

0-1 Carolina @ 1-0 Atlanta - How easy is this one. Well of course its not easy to pull for the Panthers but we do want them to beat the Falcons in Atlanta. The great thing about an inter division game like this is if the worst happens with the Falcons winning-----it means the Panthers lost. I like Jake as a quarterback, just not as a human being. :D

0-1 St Louis @ 0-1 Washington - Is it just me or are there some really bad looking teams out there this year. A few years ago it seemed like most all the teams looked decent. This year we have a handful of truly bad NFL teams and St Louis is one of them. Washington is more in the not so good, not so bad mold. We want St Louis to win. How about that? We are pulling for the Panthers and the Rams so far.:jauhnny:

0-1 Cincinnati at 1-0 Green Bay - This is an easy one. A relatively weak AFC team on the road against a relatively strong NFC team. Its one of those games we do not expect to win but you never know. The Bengals are not one of the awful teams out there. They do have Carson Palmer and upchuckcinco who is already threatening to do the Lambeau leap. Lets hope he does it a lot.

0-1 Arizona @ 0-1 Jacksonville - Tell me again how Aizona made the super bowl. You can come back from an 0-2 start but the odds are not with you even that early in the season. If the Cardinals start 0-2 they have to go 10-4 over their next 14 games to get to 10-6. This is a very doable win for the Jaguars and we want them to win.

1-0 Minnesota @ 0-1 Detroit - Go Lions. Has Bret retired this week yet? Will Stafford improve? Will the Lions ever win a game? After what Mike Bell did to Detroits defense, what will Adrian Peterson do?:covri: So many questions. We want the answer to be a Detroit win.

0-1 Tampa Bay at 0-1 Buffalo - A bad team against a dumb team. If a bad team like the Bucs fall to 0-2, which they should, their chances of winning ten games to get to 10-6 are very poor. Tampa's defense has even lost its swagger. Go Bills.

1-0 Seattle @ 1-0 SF - Finally a kwtpf game that is kind of hard to pick. Usually you would go with the visiting team to hang a loss on the home team. I am just not convinced the 49ers are for real. That means pull for them over Seattle. I think Seattle is the bigger threat long term. I will not argue with anyone who pulls for Seattle as its almost unbearable to have to pull for the Panthers, Rams and 49ers in the same week. :puke:

1-0 Pittsburgh at 0-1 Chicago - Now here is an easy one. The Bears blew a game they could have won last week, lost Urlacher for the season and get the super bowl champs. I will be flipping over to this game a lot to watch and hope Cutler can top last week with four picks.

1-0 NY Giants @ 1-0 Dallas - A very hard kwtpf game. But I hate Dallas and while the Giants are good, I jst dont think they are juggernaut good. Easily the best kwtpf game of the week to watch. I am going to go with the Giants. I will not argue with anyone who pulls for Dallas. The best thing about this game is that a likely division and/or wild card contending team will lose. The worst thing is one will win. Is it too much to hope for a tie?

1-0 New Orleans at 1-0 Philly - Did I mention I was going to this game? :9: Yup, my niece is getting married in Philly and I am going to the stadium where they boo Santa. Wish me luck. McNabb with cracked ribs the very week we go to Philly? Will it be our year to get some freaking breaks? God knows its our turn. A 2-0 start with a win over a big conference foe would be huge.

So, how did the week go for the Saints? Pretty decent I would say. The Saints won their own game against a team that they may very well have to battle for a wild card spot, or hopefully for some form of home field advantage. A win against a playoff contender is always a major plus.

Elsewhere the Saints got a nice boost from the Bengals who upset the Packers. Just like with the Eagles, the Packers are a playoff contender, and this certainly helps the Saints come wild card or home field advantage time.

The other games were a mixed bag. The Steelers couldn't put the ball through the uprights and let Chicago have that win. Obviously a disappointment any time an AFC team can't beat an NFC team in kwtpf.

San Fran managed to take out Seattle, and while you never know what team will show, most people are likely still skeptical that the 49ers can string it together for an entire season (even though I believe they have won 6 of 7 now). So I consider this one a win for the Saints.

The Giants took out Dallas in the Cowboys stadium opener, much to the delight of many on this board. This one's really a toss-up at this point though, and since the Saints get both teams in the Dome they'll be able to hopefully make this matchup meaningless.

In the division it's always a plus to see Tampa start to fade into an early demise, and while I was hoping for a Carolina upset it's never a bad thing to get up 2 games on the Panthers as well.
