The Saints finally won a close game, a game that honestly they had no business winning, and wouldn’t have, save for two gift turnovers on back to back drives from the Chargers, squandering a 13 points fourth quarter lead.

I’ve covered over 120 Saints games, and I’ve never seen a game turn out like that one. Sure there was Miami in 2009, where the Saints erased a huge second half deficit to beat the Dolphins, that game we know propelled them to a 13-3 regular season record and a Super Bowl.

I’m pretty sure you won’t see the 35-34 win over the Chargers do that for the Saints in 2016. I quipped at a text I received from a friend that said “Great come back.” I responded with, "and equally great choke job from the Chargers." Hey a win is a win in the NFL, and while the Saints shouldn't apologize for it, they should certainly thank the Chargers for that one!
