Well if Ellerbe is ready, then what do we do with Robertson, who is currently our best LB?

And I was like... Yeah both are ready to play.

Time to celebrate this at a strip club, porn shoot and my drug dealers house.

Move Anthony back to MLB, then put Ellerbe and Robertson on the field together. Move JL to the pine
This is what needs to happen but wont. Having those 2 on either side of him, JL might look better. Anthony is the one that should be in the middle. He might over pursue a play but the other 2 wont. Give me the faster more athletic player over the brain anyday. He cant get better on the bench.

The same can be said for Bell over Byrd.

I bet team security thought Ellerbe was an intruder because nobody had seen him at practice before.

Bell is playing though. And I saw a lot more Anthony vs the Falcons.

In fact, missing some tackles is part of why Devonte Freeman went off vs us.

I think Anthony is more likely to overpursue because he's on the outside. In the middle it doens't seem to be nearly as much a problem. Also he gets to play more downhill in the middle which is maybe his greatest strength.

When your 0-3, you should try anything/everything including the kitchen sink, to see if it works. Let JL relay input into Anthony's helmet. Let him mentor not play.

Anthony is playing SLB. Thats not his natural position. Put him back at MLB and let him play.

Bell needs to start over Byrd. Not be in on Nickel packages. Byrd is not worth $1 much less the $millions we are paying. He couldnt start on any other team. We are 0-3. Play the guys that need the reps. Everyone in the world knows we not making the playoffs, so lets get our young guys the experience they need. They need to all play as a unit, not spot duty.

I'm not off of the Bryd train. Byrd has a ridiculously tough job keeping all things in front of him. Especially when our front 7 is doing a poor job. Get some consistent pressure, know your assignments, make some tackles, cover for at least 2-3 seconds, and he would be the Byrd that we thought we were getting. He clearly doesn't trust all of the guys in front of him and he shouldn't.
