lack of pass rush QUESTION (1 Viewer)

I think so too. Move Jordan inside by Fairley. Then bring in Edebali.

That would be our 4 best pass rushers on the field for 3rd downs. Power on the inside, speed on the edges.

We did this several times in the game actually (i was curious after SP said we wouldn't kick Jordan inside this year but that likely changed with the injury to Rankins).

It still wasn't super effective. Part of it was gameplan as pointed out in the other thread, and part of it was just not finishing plays. We possibly had 3 sacks that we allowed him to escape the swarming bodies.

Not enough of our playmakers made plays to some extent. Ditto to Cam Jordan/Jairus Byrd.

The Steelers can get pressure on the QB with just those 3 people. That's why that works so well.

My mistake 2-4-5 was Pittsburgh's base defense last night. 2 tackles , 2 pass rushing linebackers and 2 inside linebackers and 5 DB's

You are exactly correct. Ideally the pass rusher opposite from Jordan should be a speed rusher.
