Because if there are too many games that get postponed, they are going to add week to season and add 8th team to playoffs, so 1 seed will not get bye.I may be missing something obvious but how does this affect the Saints at all?

Current goal is to play all 256 games in 17. But there are multiple contingencies before we get to the expansion point.
