Granted KAT wasnt there, but I am talking about fundamental defense. Moving as a unit, good help, pressuring players off the ball

Its been a disappointing season but i am really hoping that it has been a result of so many guys new to the team and the injuries delaying chemistry

I find myself rooting for losses because I am concerned they will give Gentry a pass if they win 40% of their remaining games.

I know that's the wrong mindset but I can't help it.

I understand but didn't the Pels bring in a defensive specialist in the offseason? If so, there was a recognition of shoring up Gentry's glaring deficiency. Much like how Coach Orgeron brought in great assistants

We may need to see what this team does when it is reasonably healthy to make a decision. So many new players in a new system coupled with horrible injury problems is going to be a disaster

If we see the defensive effort continue now that most players are back and the lineups are more consistent, then we will know that that the offseason moves are working

We should be on a 4 game winning streak right now. The improvements made on the defensive end have been very good.

I'll give them credit, the defense has been much better the last 4 games. They're probably too far behind to make any playoff noise this year, but you add Zion to the mix, the way they're playing now, they'll be fun to watch down the stretch...

Kenrich isnt a shooter...i dont get why he has been taking so many 3s
He isnt particularly talented. He is an effort guy who plays good defense, gets offensive rebounds, and opens things up by moving well without the ball

If I'm going to bash Gentry when the Pels stink, I have to give him credit for the turnaround, the defensive effort has been great on the road trip and they've beaten playoff teams, not scrubs. Giving me some hope for the future...

I dont have any expectations from this team at this point but the media talking about sitting or trading vets is very premature. These guys are just now learning to play together due to all the injuries and the difference on the court is noticeable. We are only 5 games out of the playoffs with a long way to go

There will be growing pains there too...Zion hasnt played any serious basketball since Duke plus they will need to learn to play together defensively again and we all see how long that has taken this time around
