One has us taking Mingo,
15. New Orleans - OLB Barkevious Mingo, LSU

16. St. Louis - G Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina

17. Pittsburgh - CB Xavier Rhodes, Florida State

18. Dallas - DT Sheldon Richardson, Missouri

the other.. Richardson.

15. New Orleans - DT Sheldon Richardson, Missouri

16. St. Louis - S Kenny Vaccaro, Texas

17. Pittsburgh - LB Jarvis Jones, Georgia

18. Dallas - G Jonathan Cooper, North Carolina

I feel like they have Trufant and Rhodes swapped in both mocks. Rhodes seems like a Talib type, too many outside problems waiting for you.

I just cannot see Trufant slipping to 29 or 24.

I'd be stoked if we got Richardson. One of the most underrated guys in this draft iMO (by the fans and media atleast).

Richardson would be a solid choice if we stay at 15 and he is available. He is one of those two position guys who would give Ryan even more flexibility in his defensive schemes. I am not sold on Mingo, although he does have upside, and believe there should be several guys available at 15 who I would prefer this year.

Yessir. He has just as much potential as Lotulelei if not more

I admit, I wasnt high on him a few months ago. I would see him mocked to us and *shrug. Then I dove into his film cutups (not highlights but all his snaps) and man was this dude active. I think he has something like 17 tackles vs Alabama or something like that. Dude was all over the field even though they were getting stumped, stayed on all game. Relentless pursuit, quick hands and good read and react. He mostly penitrated so Im not sure how good he is at anchoring, but Im sure Rob could find some use for him at DE and 3-tech in nickel situations.

If Im not mistaken I think thats the only knock on him. But its nuthin that a good TC of lower body conditioning n about 5-10 more lbs won't remedy IMO

I had the craziest dream last night that I was in the draft room. Our pick came down to Mingo and Austin. There were a few other players on the board. Each was asked what would it mean to be a Saint? The other three players flamed out! Austin gave a super great answer but Mingo gave a tear-jerker and talked about what it would mean to raise Who Dat children. Somehow, everyone except me cried themselves to sleep and we missed our pick. So I tried to call and make the pick for us as we had now reached the 18th pick but the NFL said the rules only allow 4 listed members to make the call to indicate the selection. I told them that everyone is asleep and they said wake them up. Then I woke up.

id like getting mingo id hate getting richardson, he has no natural fit in a 34 and if he plays anywhere its end, where we are set with hicks and jordan.

I think Richardson would fit well as a 3-4 3T. And we dont know where theyre gonna put Hicks

Richardson would be a perfect 1-gap 3T needed to make WHOEVER our WOLB is a monster. He would be the pick. I would definitely take Richardson and Jarvis Jones over Mingo.
