Earlier this week, Starbucks began serving its seasonal holiday drinks in new green cups that were meant to promote a message of unity. But the cups are having the opposite effect, causing an uproar among some customers who are accusing the coffee chain of "political brainwashing."*

On Tuesday, a week before Election Day, Starbucks rolled out the green cups that*feature*an illustration by Shogo Ota showing the faces of more than a hundred people, drawn with a single continuous line.

"During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to* create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other,"*Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said in a statement.

People really need to find something to do with themselves instead of complaining about everything they perceive as "offensive".

There was a piece done this morning on NPR about the slight rise in "conservative" companies aimed at doing business in the more conservative areas of the country. One of them was Patriot Wireless and it was a cell phone company that didn't do any business with so-called "liberal" ideals. They also talked about how a lot of corporations make contributions to both parties to hedge their bets.

The ironic part was that Patriot Wireless used Sprint as their signal carrier. Sprint gave money to both Clinton and Trump.

People are stupid arses.

Seriously. It's a green cup. What color are Christmas trees? Green. Boom, Christmas.

It's a picture of a bunch of people all connected and enjoying community/family. Isn't that the spirit of the Holidays? (Christmas, New Years, even Thanksgiving, add in the Jewish holidays and others).

If anything, I thought one of the faces looks a bit like Kim Jong Il.

But "don't you dare give me unity! Screw other people! I want snow flakes, raindeer, and a fat guy in red!"

They should worry more about the quality of their ****** coffee.

Well this certainly deserves all of the attention its getting.
