Not to mention, as sick as it sounds, any detailed injury info can and is used to game plan against a player. So it’s always better for the player and the team to keep things vague. It is his personal information, if I was a player I would prefer the team keep the public injury report vague, and only expound if I am ok with it.
Same with players who miss practices/camps for personal reasons. Team should not even say that.. just "they have a valid reason to be away, we knew ahead of time, and have no issue with their absence".
Player info should be divulged in as vague of language as it can be. If at all.
When in doubt..Makes sense...soooooooooooooooo why isn't he on IR?
I get the confidential and HIPAA stuff, but this is not the big C or some std. He was playing football and hurt his kidney, there is no shame in that.It is his personal information, if I was a player I would prefer the team keep the public injury report vague, and only expound if I am ok with it.

He has not played in weeks. I get the general point, but this is ridiculous. Not to mention, as sick as it sounds, any detailed injury info can and is used to game plan against a player. So it’s always better for the player and the team to keep things vague.
Its not shame, its just nobodies business and the team should default to that stance in each situation unless a player says otherwise.I get the confidential and HIPAA stuff, but this is not the big C or some std. He was playing football and hurt his kidney, there is no shame in that.
The secrecy with our team and certain players injuries is beyond me.Why is it so difficult to reveal this stuff? He has serious injuries so you don't need to play FBI with that info.
Yup! Somebody got all sassy with me earlier when I said that not putting players on IR in a timely fashion is FO/HC duty (neglect) and that we may have had a chance to keep LM if we had more players on IR. at the time. Yeah, of course, he gets more snaps with the Broncos. But he may have stayed. Unfortunately, this is a minor issue and we have 497 others ahead of it for concern. What is up with DA mismanaging these injuries.
M.T, Landry, Winston and now Lattimore. It almost feels as if he is trying to cover up some kind of negligence on his part
Actually with Chase Edmonds getting adjusted to the Broncos playbook, it’s no guarantee that LT will continue to see work in DenverYup! His gravy train is the Saints. He's not about to leak anything or say too much beyond the obvious. Why wouldn't Nick include this info in an article on his site? Why does he keep things like this to himself unless a fan specifically asks the question?
Actually, the team has a responsibility to report injuries. the many not be required to get into specifics but this is a little bit much. Its not shame, its just nobodies business and the team should default to that stance in each situation unless a player says otherwise.
