Lattimore got a 64 grade for yesterday’s game. I’m all for analytics but that’s got to be wrong. Held Chark to 2/6 for 21 yards. 3 PDs and 1 pick. For comparison sake PJ Williams given a 83 grade. 90 plus considered elite.

Yeah that’s why it’s hard to take PFF seriously. It’s impossible for them to gauge every assignment, especially with teams that vary their coverages as much as we do.

PFF stats are good when gauging O-lineman, D-lineman etc

Someone that's not thrown at as a CB gets penalized because he's not really involved in the play

they assign a positive or negative grade for every play based on what they believe the assignment was and whether they “won” versus the opponent.

it’s not a terrible reference point for certain positions. But it’s flawed overall.

Lattimore seems to be having the same issues Jenkins and Harper got when Saints. Being the first tackler in a zone coverage does not mean they were responsible for the catch / coverage. Remember him looking for Klein early in the game? Announcers pointed out Klein fell down and Lattimore cleaned it up. Another example of a negative play by Lattimore /s.

Lattimore played lockdown in man and was quick to tackle in holes in the zone. Chark seemed to be his guy and his first catch was to the flats in zone. Lattimore even had some clutch tackles on Fournette.

Like the rest of the team, plays better than the stats say.

PFF is a joke when it comes to grading skill positions. They're pretty much only good for lineman. The fact that Lattimore only gave up 21yds, had 3 passes defended and an interception but got a 64 score means their system is extremely flawed.

Lol that’s just dumb. He’s shut down Cooper, Evans, and now Chark. All players who’ve had great seasons so far. Lattimore is the best CB in the league right now.

Part of the frustration with this is I’m not sure how much they take into account situational football.

For instance, does Lattimore get a negative grade on a play against Seattle where we are up by three scores and he allows a completion in front of him in the zone? His job is to keep the play in front of him and keep the clock moving.

It’s just flawed.

For your own sanity do yourself a favor and take PFF out of your weekly reading. They literally are horrible. They aren't qualified to analyze a pee wee game.

Once again the Cowgirls were the highest rated team thru 5 weeks. How in the hell is that possible?

Dunno, I didn't boot up the All-22 and grade every play. Maybe he made some bad plays.
