LB Zach Thomas to visit Saints on Wednesday; LB Dan Morgan met with team Tuesday (1 Viewer)

The New Orleans Saints started their search for a new starting middle linebacker as former Miami Pro Bowl linebacker Zach Thomas arrives in New Orleans tonight and will visit with the team on Wednesday. The Saints also hosted former Carolina linebacker Dan Morgan on Tuesday.

Visits by both middle linebackers make it pretty clear that the Saints likely won't re-sign Mark Simoneau who was the team's starting middle linebacker for the past two seasons. Simoneau is a free agent.

This will be Thomas' second visit to an NFL team in as many days. Drew Rosenhaus, Thomas' agent, told the Miami Herald that New England offered Thomas a contract during the Monday visit. Rosenhaus also represents Morgan. Full Story - Sun-Heraldhttp://www.sunherald.com/228/story/379898.html
