'Leaving Neverland' (Michael Jackson sex abuse documentary) coming to HBO this spring (1 Viewer)

I watched that documentary and it was one of the most jaw dropping things I have ever seen. In that case it seems like both parents were in love with the man. I think they knew full well what was going on. Both parents had sexual relations with the abuser BEFORE letting him sleep in their daughter's bed for his "therapy".
Not to get off topic from the Neverland documentary, but the parents from Abducted in Plain Sight were selfish. They signed a document clearing the guy’s innocence because they were afraid of public perception of THEM when their relationship with the guy went public.

Ok so ya'll don't believe Wade Robson. But what about James Safechuck? What is his motive for creating this horror of a story? I haven't seen people try to discredit him yet.

It's odd how celebrities are presumed innocent while regular people are presumed guilty. If a parade of people are claiming that Jimmy Dale abused kids over in Monroe, people are going to think that he was up to no good. But Michael Jackson? No way. It's a money grab plain and simple. I thought that for years. Just ignored all the obvious, glowing neon red flags, and told myself that he was innocent because I was a fan.

Jackson was investigated by the FBI and tried. If he was guilty, he was really, really good at covering his tracks.

OJ was also found not guilty.

Not guilty doesn’t mean innocent.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't care a bit about anyone's celebrity, and I do know that the more money you have, the more deviant you can become (don't ask me how I know :hihi: )

In the case of Jackson, he was investigated by the FBI (twice, I believe) and nothing came of it. So he either didn't do it, or he is that good at covering his tracks. So, face value. I personally think Jackson was a headcase and not a pedophile. Can't know for sure, obviously, but that's my view of it.

So LaToya called him out pretty severely back in 1993...

The youtube video included this link to one of the pleadings from his criminal case, listing the "reading" material found in his bedroom in 1993 and 2003. Doesn't prove he touched anyone, but I think it pretty clearly shows his interests.

He was a 30 year old man who wanted to regularly share his bed with pre-teen boys, and at least 8 have alleged he molested them. He may have been the biggest entertainer in the world, but he was also a pedophile.

This has already been dealt with and discussed ad nauseum. The prosecution itself has admitted that MJ did not own child pornography. He had literally thousands of books which included a handful of legal art books that is described and available for anyone to legally purchase right now...and not pornography. He obviously would have been convicted of this if he had child pornography in his possession. He did have a healthy stash of straight male porn of adult females. There are also may false reports/claims about what was in the police raid and the prosecution has acknowledged those things to be fabricated

Here is a great article where you can read about everything in depth here:

There are a lot of mistruths and myths around MJ and around the trial, but there is a lot of information available for anyone to read and research and come to their own conclusion.

Most of the alleged (I can't include the recent two here just yet) have been proven extortion cases.

I definitely can't say for sure if MJ molested anyone as I certainly do not know, but there has been no proof so far and that is why he won his case.

I do think at the very least MJ set himself up for disaster though and he is 100% to blame for that.

The current documentary has already received scrutiny around falsifying the timeline of events and what happened so that they can produce a certain narrative by the very witnesses to these events .

People who have known and worked with Wade Robson are starting to come out and describe his shady/lying/less than moral ways that many of us are already aware of....For many, Wade is new to them and they can instantly believe his narrative. But for the rest of us who have been knowing his nonsense for years, can't take him seriously or just believe him like that.

Sidenote: Another thing I heard that made my eyes roll is that Wade Robson describes one of his sexual encounters with MJ by saying he distinctly remembered MJ's hair feeling like a "brillo pad" and yet during that timeline, MJ was sporting a texturized jheri curl.

One thing that I think bears mentioning is that we now know that Michael Jackson had a lengthy addiction to opiate-pharmaceuticals that began after he was burned shooting the Pepsi commercial in 1984. In court transcripts, the Jackson family admitted that Michael was forced to end his 1993 Dangerous tour early so that he could enter rehab for his opioid addiction. Family and friends were planning an intervention in 2003, just as the original sexual conduct investigation was announced. It is quite clear that Jackson was heavily addicted to demerol and OxyContin, taking the drugs intravenously - a fact that was evident by 2002 but likely occurring well before then.

I'm not saying that any of this is suggestive of guilt relating to the sex allegations. But I think it cautions against believing this narrative that Jackson was essentially an innocent child personality, frozen in time due to the loss of his actual childhood by being in the entertainment industry. For much, if not all of the time relevant to the Robson and Safechuck allegations, Michael Jackson was using and likely addicted to powerful opiate drugs.

I re-watched the entire Martin Bashir doc from 2003 recently since it first aired all those years ago and beyond the creepiness of the Gavin Arvizo parts, my biggest take away from it was that Jackson was high as a kite and possibly very bi-polar.
