I do think Leftwhich is better than Martin, but the NFL had over 50 different starting QB's last year. An experienced QB is going to be worth a lot in free agency and I feel like his style is so different from ours why should we even bother. We have a young guy being developed in Palko and we could pick up a cheaper vet in FA to back-up Brees if we don't re-sign Martin. No thanks.

i never really understood how a QB can make his offensive line good until Drew came to NO.

Yep, AB made his line look worse than it was. It was a hard argument to win when he was still here, though.

I actually really like Leftwich, but I don't think he fits this offense. As many have pointed out, he just doesn't get the ball out quick enough. Leftwich may be more talented than Martin, but I doubt he could run our offense as efficiently.

I dont' recall ever seeing Leftwich throw the ball backwards, and laugh about doing so, either. Oh, and also run 20 yards backward only to get sacked anyway.
