Just saw this on CNN. Strange deja vu. Water sitting in homes of Americans. Do you think the politicos are going to say they deserved it? I wonder if it was a federal levee?

Serves them right for living next to a levee.

/sarc off.

Is it worth rebuilding those homes since they're so close to a levee? It would just be a waste of money because this could happen again.

Sure

I saw this today and had to add it to the Just say NO to N.O. thread..

Only fitting huh?

Joe

VERY fitting. Maybe the people elsewhere will open their eyes to the HORRBLE shape of our infrastructure now. It is just not happening to those "lazy, corrupt" people in Louisiana.

Northern CA in the Sacremento area also has some "at risk" levee systems...

Politics

There is one bit of good news to this horrible event. The Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is from Nevada.

When and not if the levees break in Northern California Sacramento (and Ahnald) will be under 17 feet of water.
