The game changed at halftime when either DA or SP made the conscious decision to move away from the zone, move to man and go after Rivers. I hope this is the strategy going forward, at least our young guys will be competing for the ball. We won't have tight ends and wide outs running unchecked through our zone because our young shuffled defense doesn't know where to be. We are not good enough on defense not to go after the QB and challenge receivers.

Game planning based on what the opponent is doing. But zone and no pressure was killing us. No choice but to send pressure. Going forward they need to mix it up. Man coverage is vulnerable to a mobile QB. However, Newton has always struggled against pressure. Time for Dennis Allen to find his inner "Dr. Heat"!
