Just a segment from Chicago sports radio.
Cite bad ownership and more focus on building a new stadium.

A bit more of the same, but coming from Schefter, it carries a bit more weight.

I'm sorry but if the Bears job becomes available it is the most attractive job out there. Franchise QB , very good stable of WRs , lots of cap space for yrs and a high pick next yr

Yeah, no coach w/actual options will want to come here. Not saying we wont find a legit HC, just saing it wont be a name brand guy like Ben Johnson, Mike Vrabel or Bobby Slowik.

Pure speculation but I believe the below teams will be in need of a head coach:

Dallas Cowboys
Chicago Bears
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
New York Jets
Jacksonville Jaguars
Cleveland Browns
Los Angeles Rams

Out of all of those, I believe that the Rams job and the Giants job are the most attractive. Sean McVay flirted with retiring last year and may take a year off so the Rams job is 50/50. The Giants job will be filled by Bill Belichick.

So that leaves the Bears, Cowboys, Jets, Jags, Browns and Saints. And in that order is the order of attractive.

There’s a lot more to a HC job. Listen to Schefter’s comments.

Our stubbornness to fire Allen might work in our favor with Johnson. Johnson is worried about being fired again in 3 years after taking over a bad team and even though he only lasted 3 years it was clear he should have been fired sooner. Hopefully Campbell has good things to say about Benson and Loomis(if he's still around).

I think that’s where I legit hope Rizzi proves to be a viable candidate - if he follows through on the commitment to change.

We may need a guy like him to hold things together while the roster rebuild occurs.

But your front office is practically Cleveland Browns level of disaster. No one likes having terrible bosses. Not even NFL head coaches.

Rank the QBs, cap, and FO/ownership. The Bears are still at the top.

Bears are not good, Caleb Williams is looking like he will be a bust being the most inaccurate QB in the league, and they are not close to ready to win.

Cowboys have Jerry Jones, enough said there.

Jets are an absolute dumpster fire and have sheetty ownership that will fire you in a heartbeat.

Jags maybe attractive if you want to keep a second house in Europe.

Browns 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Out of all those Saints are actually likely the most attractive. Patient ownership and FO. The FO listens to the coach and brings in players the coach wants. The roster is set up to win immediately or rebuild immediately, we will have a high draft pick, and already have a good bit of young talent on the roster.

The only thing that the Cowboys have is that they’re the Cowboys, but you gotta deal with Jerry Jones. And the only thing the Jets have is that they’re in New York.

And within the past twenty years or so, those have become less of an advantage than it was in a pre Sunday Ticket era because you can become a superstar coach or player from any market now.

If the roster rebuild occurs. The only way this happens is if Loomis is terminated at the end of the year.
