Hi Guys

A quick update.
It seems that the New Orleans culture has really captured the imagination over here.
Starting on Friday 24th for 2 nights is a New Orleans Festival at the O2 Arena (formerly the Millenium Dome) on the Thames. This new venue is going to feature a "Bourbon St " , Louisiana food and acts such as Dr John, Buckwheat Zydeco and the Rebirth Brass Band. Best of all ....it's free entrance.
I am recommending that we might meet there on Friday evening.
On Saturday... We are still trying to find the right venue in the West End. The idea being that we take over a pub and control the music. I can't see the point in a huge venue or in hiring a band as the main thing to do is socialise and meet one another. If I can replicate the atmosphere in Harry Caray's Bar the night before the Championship game, then I will be happy.

Then to game day.. There is a tailgate party at Wembley Stadium for 20,000 people. The theme is New Orleans, it's music, food and culture. The food is all Louisiana themed favourites such as gumbo and etouffee. there are bars aplenty and there is to be a Second Line and Mardi Gras float procession before a march to the stadium behind the Rebirth Brass Band. Sounds fantastic !!!
I have managed to "secure " an initial 100 tickets for this event and if demand is there I will try for more.
I need to know who is interested in any of these ideas.

Finally, I am over for the Vikings game soon so i hope to see some of you.

Count us in. Husband and I are staying at the Premier Inn, Wembley from Wednesday through Monday.

Already planing to go to the O2 to introduce some friends to some NO culture (trying to convince them to come along on our next trip).

Saturday night pub take-over sound real good as well :ezbill:

Great work securing tickets for the official free tailgate party. :9:

I've put in a request for tickets at the NFLUK síte, but don't know if I've actually got some yet and last year there were not enough tickets to all who wanted to go

Definitely interested. I did see the news about the Tailgate party but hadn't gotten around to putting my name down (madly arranging flights to Denver for the game on Sunday as I type this) so if you find yourself with any 'unclaimed' tickets for the official tailgate party please let me know. As far as the pub take over goes, please keep us informed about what you've got planned as I'd love to come along with my girl and meet some other Saints fans.

I'm in!
My and two buddies of mine will also be participating... We arrive friday night, but we will be up for the pub takeover Saturday! :)
I've also applied for tailgate tickets... but still don't know if I got them.

Can't wait until October...

I have submitted my email request along with my Ticketmaster order number. Hopefully I will get my 4 tailgate party tickets. We shall see.

By the way, I still have two Club seats that need a home if anyone knows someone who would like to attend.

Hi Guys

LSU plays Saturday night (it might be a bit late for us over there) and we would really like to see the game. Could you help is locate a place that has ESPN or something?

The LSU game could be a difficult ask because of the time difference. Nevertheless, we do have NASN Sports channel. It is a subscription channel that shows live college games. To be fair LSU feature quite heavily. Also we get to see College Gameday each week.
The TV schedule is not out yet so I am not sure if LSU will feature, however, there are bars that are sports influenced such as the Sports Cafe and they might subscribe.

I emailed to try to get 2 tickets -- but have not heard back -- if you have any left for Saints fans travelling to London for the game I am definitely in -- and will let you know if I get my 2from official channels

I'll be interested in both events. I'll have a group of 3 or maybe 4. Getting excited!

For those wanting to watch the LSU game - as a last-resort type of option I'm going to have a laptop with Slingbox so we can watch i tthere. If it ends up being a night game it'll be really late in London so we probably couldn't watch it in a bar anyway.

Let's just keep communicating here about arrangements.

out of tailgate tix

Thank you for registering your interest for tailgate, due to a fantastic response from our fans we have now reached capacity. We will keep your request on file in case spaces at tailgate become available: Please keep a watch out in your ticketing envelope just in case.

Thanks nfluk

i am also waiting on tailgate tickets. I am all set and ready togo. I sure hope we get to meet up with all the new Orleans folk since we are coming over so far. If anyone needs any advice on London, let me know as this is my 115th trip since 1984. ( I am a real anglophile) I am so happy that we have a group going!

has anyone received an email back from NFLUK regarding whether or not they got tailgate tickets? I filled out the online form a few days ago, but I haven't heard anything.
Is there a drawing or lottery? Or if you entered before they were all spoken for are you guaranteed your tailgating tickets?
Just curious.
