METAIRIE, La. -- If defensive ends are measured by sacks, then Cameron Jordan might not make it to his third career Pro Bowl this season.
That would be too bad, though, because the New Orleans Saints defensive end is probably having one of the best two seasons of his career.
Although Jordan has “just” five sacks, his 17 quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss and four batted passes put him in the top eight in the NFL in each of those categories.
The scouting service Pro Football Focus ranked Jordan’s performances in Week 10 and Week 11 as two of the nine best performances by edge defenders in any games this season, tucked in between multiple performances by Von Miller and Khalil Mack.
And Jordan’s 639 snaps (roughly 90 percent of the Saints’ defensive snaps) rank fourth among NFL defensive linemen.
